KANSAS CITY – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2021 NAIA Women's Volleyball All-America teams on Wednesday, after the competition of the national championship in Sioux City, Iowa. Isabelle North and Maddy Payne were both named to an All-American team for the second straight year.
North was named an NAIA First Team All-American. The second-year Fort Wayne native ranked ninth in the NAIA in hitting percentage at .376, to go along with 394 kills and 147 total blocks, the eighth-highest total in the NAIA on the season.
Payne was named an NAIA Third Team All-American. The second-year NorthWood product led the NAIA in total blocks with 184 on the season and was one of only three players in the NAIA with at least 300 kills, 100 digs, and 100 blocks on the season.
Payne and North rank 1-2 in the NAIA in the last two seasons in total blocks with 361 and 301, respectively. The sophomores are both the first Pilots in program history to be named to multiple NAIA All-American teams in their careers.
