Upland, Ind. --- The Bethel University Women's Soccer team (5-4-4) lost a hard-fought game to the Taylor Trojans (10-2-1) by a score of 5-2, Wednesday night in Crossroads League action.
The first half remained tight through its entirety until a goal from Taylor's Hannah Dempsey in the 25
th minute broke the scoreless tie.
Bethel's Giulia Franco answered in the 30
th minute with her first collegiate goal to tie the half 1-1.
In the second half Taylor scored three goals in seven minutes to pull away for the victory.
Audrey Lerch answered one of those goals for Bethel in the 78
th minute for her 13
th goal of her impressive season.
The Trojans put up 19 shots over Bethel's 11, seven of which came in the second half.
