Mishawaka, Ind. --- Bethel University women's soccer (7-5-4) picked up a huge home win Wednesday night, defeating Mount Vernon Nazarene (6-8-3) in a key Crossroads league matchup.

It was a back-and-forth affair for most of the first half before Audrey Lerch assisted Leena Thomas for her sixth goal of the season in the 43^rd minute.

That lone goal was just enough, as Bethel hung on for the 1-0 victory, their 5^th win at Morey Field of the season.

Thomas had a total of six shots, with four on frame, to account for the Lady Pilots' 17 total shots.

Giulia Carneiro accounted for three shots on frame, two of which were from long distance or from a free kick.
