MOUNT VERNON, Ohio --- The Bethel Pilots Women's Soccer team (5-4-1, 1-2-0) was shut out by the Mount Vernon Nazarene Cougars (5-4-2, 2-1-0) on Saturday night 2-0.
The first half was quiet with the Pilots, who had two more opportunities than the Cougars, seven shots to five, but MVNU's Madison Turner connected with Brooklyn Bryant for the first goal in the 49th minute.
The Cougars sealed the Pilots' fate in the 68th minute with a goal from Brooke Frazier and gave Bethel their second loss of the Crossroads League season.
