Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. ---The No. 5 Bethel Pilots (10-1-2, 4-0-1) defeated the No. 21 Grace College Lancers (9-3-2, 3-2) 2-1 on Morey Field on Saturday evening. 

The win marks Bethel's fifth consecutive win over the Lancers since their winning streak began on October 15th, 2022, with another 2-1 win over Grace at home. 

Diego Arrieta put the Pilots on the board in the 23rd minute of the game, assisted by Lucas Lima (1-0).

Julian Vargas Talamantes secured the game for Bethel with a goal in the 42nd minute of the matchup. 

Following an aggressive first half showing by the Pilots, the Lancers scored one goal in the 61st minute, but Grace could not overcome Bethel's lead. 

Head Coach Thiago Pinto shared, "Thought we had a great first half to give us the lead...Second half we had to really weather a lot of pressure from Grace, (especially) on set pieces. We knew this was going to be a tough game and (I am) proud of the work and the way we handled competition." 

The Pilots will next face the No. 19 Marian University Knights on Wed, Oct. 15th. Kickoff is set for 7 PM at Ascension St. Vincent Field.
