Box Score HUNTINGTON, Ind. ---The Bethel Pilots (9-5-1, 3-4) fell 2-1 to the Huntington University Foresters (7-7, 2-5) on Saturday afternoon.
Despite the loss, Bethel (sixth) ranks above Huntington (seventh) in the Crossroads League standings.
Huntington's Paige Brown scored in the early minutes of the first to put the Pilots behind 1-0.
The formidable Forester offensive once again scored quickly after the halftime break, with Sophie Shepherd hitting the back of the net in the 48th minute of the match (2-0).
Leena Thomas took two consecutive shots for the Pilots as the game neared its finish, getting the Pilots on the board in the 84th minute. The senior midfielder now has nine goals on the 2025 season.
The Bethel Women's Soccer Team will next face No. 13 Spring Arbor University. The Pilots will host the Cougars on Morey Field for Senior Night on Sat, Oct. 25 at 6 PM.
