Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. ---The Bethel Women's Volleyball Team (14-12, 6-7) struggled to defend the Gates Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon, falling 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-14) to the No. 5 Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats (19-3, 13-0).
The opening set proved more competitive than the Pilots' first set against the Wildcats on Sept. 13, when Bethel fell 25-9.Â
Liberty Pierson showcased her setting abilities with four assists in addition to recording five kills.Â
Ainsley Tacke posted three service aces, including one against the 2024 NAIA Women's Volleyball Player and Attacker of the Year, Eva Joldersma.Â
Indiana Wesleyan showed up with a formidable offense on Saturday, as the Wildcats totaled 45 kills compared to the Pilots' 23.Â
Paige Franz led the team in digs (nine), one of which Tacke terminated in a second-contact opportunity.Â
The Pilots will next face the Goshen College Maple Leafs this Wed, Oct. 22 in the Gates Gymnasium. First serve is set for approximately 7 PM.Â
