COLUMBUS, Ohio. ---The Bethel Women's Bowling Team competed at the Ohio Bowling Conference Tournament at the Bowling Palace this past Saturday.
The Pilots played three team games (placing 13th out of 14 teams), and 12 Baker games. Bethel finished over Ursuline College with a team score of 2100.
Head Coach
Chris Adams shared, "Our communication was good; we struggled later in the day with execution. Later in the day, with the oil carry down and missing our targets, we found ourselves missing too many spares."
Alexandra Burkholder placed ninth out of 72 individual bowlers, her first top ten finish of the season.
Burkholder's performance resulted in her receiving the Crossroads League Women's Bowler of the Week award this past Monday.
Pilots Lilian Siwka (26th),
Miley Phillips (41st), Grace Abbot (48th), and
Rachel Miedema (61st) also represented Bethel University in their competition against bowlers from NCAA institutions such as Ohio State and Tiffin University.
The Pilots will look for their next victory on Nov. 8-9, as they compete at the Siena Heights University Halo Classic in Adrian, Mich.
