JACKSON, Mich. ---The Bethel Men's Bowling Team competed against NCAA and NAIA Progams at the Scotty Classic, hosted by Alma College at JAX 60 on Saturday. The Pilots finished 16th out of 20 teams, ahead of Brescia, Ferris State, Adrian, and the University of Michigan.
Over 190 athletes gathered to compete in three team games and 12 Baker Games.
Ryan Riddle (69th) led the Pilots with a final score of 518, averaging a 172.7.
Isaac Lleras (73rd) followed with a 511 showing, and Steven Jones placed 78th with a 167.3 average.
Ian Gradi (102nd, 448) and Kyle Hennings (126, 380) rounded out the lineup, placing ahead of entries from Wright State University and Indiana Wesleyan.
Head Coach Christopher Adams shared, "The men had great attitudes all day and showed great progress from yesterday."
The Pilots will next compete at the No. 3 Crossroads League Tournament this Wednesday, Feb. 4 in Indianapolis, Ind. at 8:30 AM.
The event will be hosted by Marian University, and the highest scoring team from all four Crossroads League Tournaments will receive an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament, set for Mar. 19-21 in Lansing, Mich.
