HOBART, Ind. ---The Bethel Pilots finished fifth out of eight teams on day two of the KCAC Conference Championship on Thursday.
Zachary Anguish finished runner-up in the 500 Free (4:44.34) in a field of 16 competitors.
Owen Fleck took second in the 3M Dive with a 226.25 showing, behind Evan Bennett of Aquinas (279.05).
In the 200 Free Relay, Pilots
Andrew Williams (21.38),
Nico Stuber (21.62),
Omar Khatter (21.23), and
Jorge Souto Vilas (20.63) finished in the top 50 percent of the field (fourth of eight teams) with a time of 1:24.86.
Thursday's showing brought the Pilots to 123 points, ahead of sixth place Dordt University (101 points).
The Bethel Pilots continue their conference championship run today at the Hobart High School Aquatic Center, with the event concluding on Saturday, Feb. 7.
