Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. ---The Bethel Pilots (3-3, 2-2) fell to the No. 10 Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (4-5, 2-2) 18-6 on Saturday at Morey Field.
The Pilots opened the game with energy, as
Kyra Dominick found the net twice in the first quarter to help Bethel keep pace early. After trading goals and tying the game at 2-2, Lawrence Tech began to take control late in the opening period and carried that momentum into the second.
Lawrence Tech outscored Bethel 8-1 in the second quarter to build a 10-3 halftime lead, creating separation that the Pilots were unable to overcome.
Bethel continued to battle in the second half, with Pj Pearson and
Megan Williams each scoring a goal in the third, and
Mackenzie Holland finding the net in the fourth.Â
Goalkeeper
Maddie Reel recorded a strong performance in net, finishing with 19 saves on 32 shots on goal.
Lawrence Tech was led by Alyson Walendzak with six goals and Mari Pellmann with five.
The Bethel Pilots will look for their next victory on Wednesday, April 1. They will face the No. 9 Marian University Knights (4-3, 2-1) on the road at 5 PM.Â
