Jacob Rendall became the second Head Coach of the Bethel Pilots ESPORTS program in August of 2024, following a successful three-year tenure as an Assistant Coach where he specialized in coaching the League of Legends team.

Rendall, who served as an Assistant Coach since the program's early stages of the young program, brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to Bethel University. As a former Men's Soccer Reserves player from 2009 to 2012, Rendall is excited to give back to the institution that played a pivotal role in his own development.

"I am grateful for the opportunity and wanted to give back to Bethel, which is a place that has done so much for me. It is a sport that is continuing to grow. I want to teach our players to lead and guide them toward a common goal and give them an experience like mine. I would like to thank Bethel and Dan Wort for giving me this opportunity," Rendall said.

Under Rendall's leadership, the ESPORTS program aims to build on its current success and foster a competitive yet supportive environment for its players. Rendall's passion for the sport and commitment to player development are expected to elevate the program's profile and performance.

Rendall's appointment marks a new chapter for the Bethel Pilots ESPORTS program as it continues to make strides in the competitive gaming arena.
