COLUMBUS, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots Women's Golf team faced their last opportunity to make the NAIA National Championship with a victory at the Crossroads League Championship but fell short with a fourth-place finish. The third round was almost canceled due to rain, but the weather cleared up, and Bethel rose one spot from their fifth-place standing from day one's first 36 holes.
The Pilots led the tournament in birdies as a team with 20, one more than Taylor, Indiana Wesleyan, and Marian, who finished first, second, and third, respectively.
Selah Unwin ranked tied for third with six birdies in the tournament, and
Aynslee Myer was not far behind, tied for fifth in the same category with five birdies. Myer also tied for fourth in average score on par threes at 3.17.

With a young team this season, head coach of the Pilots Chris Hess is proud of what the team has accomplished, "I am really proud of the way this young team competed this season! Having three freshman in the top 5 is an unusual thing and the future is bright for Izzy, Karisa and Megan! Aynslee and Selah carried us all year long and brought so much leadership to this team. The culture is so strong with this program and our challenge moving forward is to take the team chemistry and competitive fire to another level," said Hess. "We had five tournament victories and six runner-ups this year. That's an amazing accomplishment and we give God all the glory!"
The Pilots' season comes to an end, and will return in August of 2025. For more information about Bethel Pilots Athletics, check out
