ADRIAN, Mich. — The Bethel Pilots Women's Lacrosse team (6-5, 3-3) faced a tough defeat against the Siena Heights Saints (7-6, 4-2) in the second to last Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference game of the season at O'Laughlin Stadium on Wednesday.

The Pilots started strong with Addi Jones scoring the first goal at 14:18, assisted by Megan Williams. Mackenzie Holland followed with an unassisted goal at 10:43, giving Bethel an early 2-0 lead. However, Siena Heights quickly responded with Annamae Martin scoring at 08:45, followed by Jenna Allie at 07:11 and 04:24, and Abbey Scott at 02:02, assisted by Danielle Turner. Turner herself scored at 00:09, assisted by Maitland Fuentes, ending the first quarter with a 5-2 lead for the Saints.

In the second quarter, Bethel's Serenity Kretschmer scored at 14:33, assisted by Isabell Gerbrand, narrowing the gap to 5-3. Siena Heights' Jenna Allie scored again at 13:08, followed by Chloe Harding for Bethel at 11:06, assisted by PJ Pearson. Allie continued her scoring streak at 08:28, and Danielle Turner added another goal at 06:41, assisted by Annamae Martin. Maitland Fuentes closed the second quarter with an unassisted goal at 00:01, bringing the score to 9-4 in favor of the Saints.

The third quarter saw Bethel's Chloe Harding scoring at 12:23, assisted by Addi Jones, and Callie Brondyke scoring unassisted at 10:59, bringing the score to 10-6. Siena Heights' Jenna Allie scored at 04:45, ending the quarter with an 11-6 lead.

In the final quarter, Jenna Allie scored again at 12:25, followed by Chloe Harding for Bethel at 10:18, assisted by Isabell Gerbrand. Danielle Turner scored at 07:32, assisted by Annamae Martin, and Martin herself scored at 06:08, assisted by Maitland Fuentes. Bethel's Isabell Gerbrand scored unassisted at 01:56, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Saints' lead, ending the game with a final score of 14-8.

The Pilots are set to be the fifth seed in the WHAC Tournament and are on pace for a rematch with the Saints in Adrian on Tuesday, April 15. Bethel's next game is on Saturday, April 12 at Morey Field for Senior Day at 11 a.m. The senior celebration will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the game is set to start at 11 a.m.
