MARION, Ind. --- After day two of the Crossroads League Championship at Indiana Wesleyan on Friday, Anthony Maxwell returns to the Princess City with a Javelin Championship. Lamarr Williams places third in the 100 and 200-meter finals.
Maxwell threw a 55.06 on his third attempt to beat out three Grace Lancers, including Josiah Thompson, who was the runner-up with a 51.73-meter mark and won by 3.33 meters. Lamarr Williams took third in the 100-meter final with a 10.65 and placed third in the 200-meter with a 21.05. The 4x100 team of Mark Brissau, Brennen Bargesser, Joshua Harmon, and Lamarr Williams finished fourth in the event with a 41.31.
Landon Herbert finished sixth in the Triple Jump with a 12.64-meter mark, and in the 400-meter race, Lucas Linder finished 13th with a time of 50.53.
Christopher Kourthuis dropped to fifth in the final five events of the Decathlon. Kourthuis placed third in the 110-hurdles, seventh in the Discus, fifth in the Pole Vault, sixth in the Javelin, and fifth in the 1500-meter for a final score of 5694.
The Pilots take on the NCCAA Outdoor National Championship at Columbia International University May 7-9 before competing in the NAIA National Championship, back at Indiana Wesleyan, May 22-24.
