COLUMBIA, S.C. --- The first day of the NCCAA Men's Outdoor Track and Field National Championship at Columbia International, with Christopher Kourthuis representing the Pilots in the Decathlon and competing in five of the ten events.
Kourthuis sits in fifth place by running an 11.33 in the 100-meter, jumping 6.10 meters in the Long Jump, throwing 8.94 meters in the Shot Put, clearing 1.65 meters in the High Jump, and running a 54.66 in the 400-meter.
The Decathlon continues on Thursday, May 8, at 9:00 a.m. with the 110-hurdles, Discus at 9:45 a.m., Pole Vault at 11:00 a.m., Javelin at 1:30 p.m., and 1500-meters at 2:35 p.m. (all approximate times).
Day two will also feature the Discus, High Jump, Javelin, Long Jump, 110-hurdles, 100-meter, 200-meter, 4x800, and 10,000 meters.
