Erica graduated in 2006 with a B.A. in Communications. She was a four-year letter winner in track and field. She was a nine-time NCCAA National Champion and a six-time NCCAA National Runner-Up while competing in the 55-meter dash, 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 4x100 meter relay, and long jump.
Over her four-year career, she was a NAIA All-American in the 200-meter dash ('05) and a 17-time NCCAA All-American, earning the honor multiple times in both indoor and outdoor competition. At the conference level, she was a four-time champion in the 100-meter dash ('03, '04, '05, '06), a three-time champion in the 200-meter dash ('04, '05, '06), and the 2006 long jump champion. She also anchored the 2006 conference champion 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay teams.
In addition, Erica won the Ron Paulsen Award ('05) and the NCCAA National Wheeler Award ('06) and was a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and a two-time NCCAA Scholar-Athlete. The Bethel women's track and field team won their first MCC Championship in 2006 while taking runner-up honors in 2003, 2004, and 2005. Upon graduation, she held four individual track and field records: 100-meter dash (11.73 seconds), 200-meter dash (24.16 seconds), 400-meter dash (56.04 seconds), and long jump (18'3").
