Bethel Athletics Hall of Fame
Hope (Lawson) Hoezee graduated in 1999 with a BS in Nursing. She was a four-year letter winner in volleyball and basketball. During her senior year, Hope was awarded the Ron Paulsen Award (‘98) which is given to one athlete each year at Bethel College.
Her volleyball accomplishments include winning the NCCAA National Award for volleyball: Susan R Hellings Award ('98). She was a 3-time NCCAA Volleyball All-American in '96, ‘97, and ‘98. Hope was also a 3-time All-MCC member ('96, '97, '98) and a 2-time NAIA All-Region Team member ('97, '98). In 1998, Hope was on the NCCAA National Championship team and the NAIA Regional Championship team.
In basketball, Hope is a member of the 1,000 point/500 rebound club, and she is currently 3rd in Career Field Goal Percentage at 49.2%. Hope made the All-MCC team (HM) in her senior year ('99).
