Dr. Albert J. Beutler Bethel Athletics Hall of Fame

Bethel University has a long and proud history of excellence in athletics. Though championships and wins grip the daily headlines, it is the athletes and coaches who endure in our memories. Membership is awarded for the athletic performance, coaching or administrative accomplishments, and reflection of the goals and standards of Bethel University in his or her person and professional life.
 
Established in 1994, the Dr. Albert J. Beutler Bethel Athletics Hall of Fame is dedicated in memory of Dr. Albert J. Beutler, a former Bethel University president and the first head coach in the history of Bethel Athletics (men's basketball, 1958-59). Emphasis upon Christian values, moral character, and personal integrity is primary in the selection process. Also, an individual may be selected for meritorious service based upon his or her contribution to the athletic program and to Bethel University.
